Visitor visa: staying more days than mentioned in the application form

Post by chattokhan » Tue Apr 29, 2025 11:06 am

Hello everyone,

My mother came to the UK on 6 months visit visa around 5 years ago. She stayed here for 55 days. We are applying her visit visa again and there is a question in application form regarding travel history and time spent in the UK. I don't remember what number of day we mentioned in the previous application form but I am sure they must be less than 55 days. I don't think we would've said more than 3 weeks.

Although 55 days are well within the limit of 6 months visit visa but still do not match with the intended visit days in the application form. Do you think this will reduce the chances of getting visa again?

Best regards

You must be as honest as possible. Staying longer than you stated in the application may lead to a refusal. This happened to my husband’s Mother. The Home Office have all the records so it’s best not to be dishonest.
