Visitor Visa fo Tier 1 Visa

Hi ,
I have a Tier 1 work permit. I have not applied dependent visa while applying for me. Now i want to bring my dependent here for 2-3 months. Can i apply for visitor visa and bring them. Will UK border agency allow them in?

please advice if any one have faced this situation.

Why do you want to bring them on visitor, while you can do it as a dependant?
