Visitors visa for a lady attending a funeral

Post by DaveyBoyUK » Tue Nov 11, 2008 10:47 am

Hi,
My friend passed away yesterday in an Edinburgh hospital. His girlfriend, a vietnamese girl, is hoping to obtain a visa very quickly in order to get over here for the funeral. Any advice would be appreciated, but specifically I'd like to know the following:

I am going to act as sponsor/guarantor for the girl. The embassy are asking for a 'notarized' copy of my passport. How do I obtain such a thing in the UK?

Thankyou.

You may get it signed and stamped from a solicitor for a fee.
