6-week-old daughter's Tier-1 (Dep) visa rejected.PLEASE HELP

Post by sibaji » Mon Aug 08, 2011 5:14 am

Hello,

I am a Tier-1 (General) visa holder and I live in the UK. However, the application for the Tier-1 (Dependent) visa for my 6-week old daughter (born in India) was rejected by the British High Commission. The reason for the rejection was that my bank statement (current account) showed less than £533 for a few days in the last 90 days prior to application.

Now, I want to appeal. So, this time, I want to furnish my bank statement (savings account) and not my bank statement (current account).

My questions is:

(a) Would the British High Commission accept a different document during an appeal, than during the initial application ?

(b) If I make a fresh application, is it OK to furnish my Post Office savings account statements for the last 90 days prior to my application, in lieu of my bank statement ?

A speedy reply would be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
