WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

I saw this paragraph in caseworkers document for English language.

"Where applicants are relying on a qualification submitted in support of the ‘Qualifications’ points scoring area, they will only need to provide the original letter from the awarding body confirming that English was the language of instruction"

Does this mean anything different for the Letter format for thos who are are relying on a qualification submitted in support of the ‘Qualifications’ points scoring area ?

This means if you got your degree from a university where you were taught in English, you can supply only a letter from the university saying "So-and-so got her BA (or bachelor of whatever) degree from This University (date) and the language of instruction was English" to meet the English Language Requirement.

When you have a letter saying that your degree was taught in English along with your original degree certificate, you do not have to submit an IELTS score in addition.

Does not make any difference. It merely says that if you have supplied the Degree certificate as part of the qualifications point claimed, the case worker should refer that and just look at the letter issued by the institution while verifying the eligibility regarding the english language.

THANKS GUYS..I asked this as the letter I got from the university only says that English was the medium of instruction. it doesnt says abt year of award. Will this b a problem ? Anyways am requesting for a new letter.

Yes the letter would be rejected....see the caseworkers manual....clearly asks for 3 things to be mentioned: your name, qualification obtained and date of award along with the fact that it was taught in english.
