Background
I am british and my partner is on a spouse visa and his ILR is due Mar 2011. We both work full time pay our taxes and we live in a private rented property. I am 6 months pregnant now and soon will be going on maternity leave. I have never claimed any benefits before except for student loan which I am paying off from my wages and my partner is not entitled to claim for any either. We are planning to rent out a bigger property as the one we live in is not suitable for a baby. After I go on my maternity our total household income would drop and we are worried that we would not be able to afford a bigger place for our baby.
Question
I would like to know what benefits I am entitled to claim after my baby is born without affecting my partners ILR application?
