What to fill in reason for obtaining NI number

Hi,

I used to work for an MNC in india.I am there in UK as a dependent to my spouse(during this time I am on leave from my emplyer in india) that time I aplied for NI number abd got it.Then I came bak to India and joined bak my job in India.Now my employer trying to send me to UK on tier2.In tier2 form there is a column for filling reason for obtaining NI number.What should I fill in this reason field?
Please help.

You have been issued one already (NI number is for life), so you do not need a new one.

About reason for obtaining NI

Yeah correct NI once for life time.But what I need to fill as the reason for obtaining NI?there is an explanatory column for reason.Plese help

When you have been issued one before, why do you need to apply for another (2nd) NI number (or provide a reason to apply for a 2nd NI number) .. despite being aware that a NI number is for life!
