What information is required for unrestricted Cos?

Post by silverchloride » Wed Aug 10, 2011 9:50 pm

Hello friends,

My employer is in process of applying for an Unrestricted CoS for me. I just wanted to know from any experienced people here what exactly is the information that is required for it? And also how is the procedure carried out, etc. Since the person dealing with my case hasn't done this before it'd be great if I could know all the details and gimmicks so that I can guide him through as well.

Since I was reading in one of the threads that due to a mistake by the HR, the CoS became un-usable due to wrong information being entered, so I was thinking of trying to remain on top of the paperwork myself and not depend on HR alone.

Many thanks!

Also, how important are the Occupation Codes? I cant seem to find an exact match to my job and there are atleast three codes which closely match what I would be doing.

Any help on that regard?

1134 - Advertising and public relations managers

1132 - Marketing and sales managers

3433 - Public Relations Officers

My job is related with International development with bits and pieces of marketing, advertising, PR and other tasks.

I'd say that the first two would be most relevant for you. The occupation codes are important of course, but the most imp thing is whichever code is chosen, your salary should suffice that code's recommended salary

But how can we determine the correct code if two of them are overlapping?
