What is worse - waiting for the court or having 6 points for using the phone while drivin

Post by Danivo1 » Thu Mar 14, 2024 3:12 pm

Hello,
I would like to know which is worse for assessing the acquisition of British citizenship. I am an Uber Eats driver I have 2 offenses. I recently had a conviction for failing to complete an online course because I was not wearing a seatbelt while driving. Due to stress and traveling during the Christmas holidays, I forgot that the course completion date was by the end of the year and not, as I thought, by the end of January 2024.
A couple of weeks ago, a policeman saw me using a clipped mobile phone in a holder in the rear-view mirror when I was standing behind him in line at the exit of the MacDonald's parking lot and when I was just going to go around him slowly. I did not physically hold the mobile phone in my hand.
My question is, what is worse, first have 6 points for using a mobile phone while driving?
2nd, or waiting for judgment in this matter? 3rd, or have I been convicted in this matter by the court?

I want to go to court, as the possible additional 6 points will make it impossible for me to work as a delivery driver and get to another possible job. Thank you for any response.

No matter how you slice it, it won't look good, because you have two recent offences (in the last year before the application) and you intend to challenge one of them. Unsure of what would work best, maybe you could use the help of a solicitor.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
