where to marry!!!!!!! -Help on marriage and visa

Post by vishalnarula » Tue Sep 25, 2007 6:03 pm

I have indefinite leave to remain and my girl friend is visiting me from South America although she don’t require visa to enter in uk for 6 month of stay. We are planning to get married can we get married in UK and how she can get her spouse visa to stay in UK

If we can get married in uk then can she apply for visa in uk or she has to go back to her country and apply for spouse visa from there.

She might get a CoA to marry in UK, but ultimately she'll have to return home to apply for a Spouse visa.

Also be wary of using the full six months on visa-waiver, IO's don't like it - they see it as attempting to settle on a VV.

She could consider applying for a Fiancé(e) visa before traveling. After marriage in the UK, she may apply for FLR(M).
