Which English Test I need for Skills Visa

Post by Shamaeel » Tue Aug 01, 2023 11:02 am

I have received an invitation from a company in the UK, and they require me to clear an English test. After checking the Home Office website, I found out that I need to achieve a B1 level for a skilled worker visa. Therefore, I am planning to book the B1 level test from the IELTS website, which will assess my speaking and listening abilities. Is the B1 level test sufficient for applying for the visa? Or do I need to go for Ielts General Test which has 4 parts?

Have you googled this?
https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... of-english
"You must prove you can read, write, speak and understand English to at least level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale."
