Which organisations to inform after a successful British citizenship

Post by amitfalana » Mon Oct 03, 2022 3:08 pm

Dears,
Thanks to this forum, I have sailed through the longgggg process to get my british citizenship this morning.
I wanted to check if I need to inform any particular organisations such as my bank, council, ISA providers, etc. etc. about change of my citizenship status.

Regards,
Amit

There's no legal requirement to inform anyone,
though for practical reasons I would inform, at a minimum:
- Bank (you may be able to update on your banking portal)
- Council Electoral Services
- Employer
- GP
and then on a case by case basis, if required.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
