WHM > Tourist Visa (with air ticket outta UK within 2 mth

Hi all,

Would i have any issues if i go to Europe after my WHM ends and come back into the UK?

I plan to go to France & Italy when my WHM visa ends for about a week or two, then come back to the UK for the rest of the summer as a tourist.
I will have an air ticket outta the UK within one or two months max.

Has anyone been through this, or have any advice to give?

If you are a visa national, then you would need to apply for a visitor visa before coming back to the UK.

my passport does not require me to get a visa to come into UK.

is that ok?

A lot of people are asking about this on another forum, and I have a friend in the same situation. Not many have a definite answer - it really depends on your circumstances and the IO on the day.

I did it myself, but that was in 2006.

I personally know of one other person who has done it last year and even been in and out a few times since.

But on another forum someone recently(this week) reported back that they had been denied entry.
