Why UK NARIC verification?

Why there is a UK NARIC verification required for my qualification? I have done MBBS, MS general surgery, MRCS england and have send my qualification documents copy to General Medical Council for registration also. When they have no problem then why the visa office is asking for verification? Does everyone get their qualification verified before applying visa?? UK NARIC is charging so much for the verification and that too will take time.

Have you read the policy guidance to ascertain whether you require a letter of comparability from NARIC for your overseas qualification(s)? Or are you assuming that you need one for sure?

It seems from your queries that you may not have read (and understood) the policy guidance for the immigration category you intend to apply for.

no. that query came into mind because i havent received my CoS till now and I dont know whether my sponsor falls in which category - passed resident labor market test or shortage occupation list? Now that I have enquired about my sponsor status that it falls under latter category, so I know what to do further.
