Widowed Parent travel under my tier 2 ICT visa

Hi,

Iam in UK under tier 2 ICT for last 2 years. Recently my father passed away and my mother has to travel and stay with me in UK. I have the following questions and urgently reply is needed:

1- What is the best visa route under which my mother can apply?
2- If it is general visa , how can i ensure that my mother can stay in UK beyond 6 months (6 months is max general visa time)?
3- Can my mother apply for extension as general visitor while in UK for another 6 months or she has to come back to India?
4- If she has to come back to India , is there cooling off for general visa?
5- What documents are required for her and from me?

Assuming she doesn't qualify under any of the PBS categories or under the uk ancestry route, general visitor is the only option

It is not possible for general visitors to stay beyond 6 months or to extend their stay after being here for 6 months.

Generally speaking visitors should not spend more than 6 months in any 12 month period in the uk. Visit visas should not be used to live in the uk long term. Should your mother stay as a visitor for 6 months and return to India and immediately apply to come back for another 6 months there is a high chance her application will be refused
