Wife is Danish Citizen - I have Danish PR - Need Help

Post by smartkhan » Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:26 pm

Hi,

My wife is Danish (Denmark) citizen and I hold the permanent residence of Denmark. I am not a Danish citizen.

We are interested in moving to UK. I have few questions.

We live in Denmark right now. We visited UK many times. Now we are planning to move there permanently. I want to start my career in UK as a professional.

My questions are:

1. Does my wife need to go to UK first and start a job then apply for my visa from there?

2. Does my wife need to work in UK to show the salary slips so that I can apply for EEA Family permit?

3. Can we apply for EEA FP just right now without having any job in UK?

We both are job seekers right now.

Can someone with good know how and knowledge answer my questions? Thanks.

1. No
2. No
3. Yes

P.S: An EEA family permit can only be applied for from outside the UK; ideally from one's country of residence at the time of application.
