My wife & kid are British & we want to move to UK

Hello everyone,

This is my first post & I really appreciate if anyone can help me.

I'm Egyptian (33 years) married to my wife (34 years) since 2006 & we've been living in Egypt ever since .. we only travel to visit her family twice a year .. once in summer & another in xmas.

Thank GOD we've been blessed with a baby girl last December and she was born is Sheffield .. she has British nationality "obviously" and got the Egyptian one recently as well.

According to labour law, if we were married more than 4 years abroad .. I can have the permanent visa .. but since Tories came to power .. this law was cancelled !

Can you please share your experience as we want to move there but the rules are a lot harder than before & it seems almost impossible for me !!!

P.S: I'm a communication engineer .. so I'm skilled & I speak 3 languages "Arabic, French & English" .. not sure if this can help.

Do you have significant savings? Around £60,000?

If not, plan would be your wife would relocate to UK and get a job, earning around £20,000pa (I forget the exact figures) for six months so to establish herself here and then you apply for Spouse Visa on Form VAF4A.
