Wife kids living separately

Post by john84 » Mon Jan 12, 2015 9:01 am

Hi All,

Me and wife both are on ILR and kids on British Passport soon.
If my wife and kids leave UK for 3-4 years and I carry on living in the UK, would that effect the process of my Naturalization & British Citizen by any means?

I heard if HO sees your family is not living in the UK with you, this shows I have now weak ties with UK and may not stay here long term.

Can some one please confirm..would it impact my naturalization/british citizenship process?

Thanks

I asune you will be applying on 5 years residency + 1year ILR basis and if so should you meet all other requirements than you do not need to worry. For that reason your marital status is not important.
Have in mind if your wife is absent for more than 2 years from UK continuously she will lose her ILR.
I am sometimes wrong.
