Will Council Tax Exemption affect FLR(M) application?

Post by julian1972 » Mon Feb 03, 2014 1:54 am

My wife who is British has returned to university in September 2013 to do a Masters degree course, I am going to switch from the 10 year route to FLR(M) in May 2014. My wife was working full-time and was earning more than the required amount of 18,600 but has now quit her job in order to fully concentrate on her studies. I have been in a non-salaried employment (Agency) for 3 months and earns just over 2,000 pounds a month before tax.

Prior to starting uni we were paying the full council tax but she has now received a tax exemption letter for herself from university, I will now be paying a reduced council tax as a result of the exemption.

Will the fact that my wife does not pay council tax affect my FLR(M) application when it's submitted in May 2014?

Thanks guys!
