Will crimminal convictions affect my apllication for a visa?

Post by whimsey » Thu May 14, 2009 12:37 am

I have been denied entry to the UK and now i want a visit visa to see my boyfriend. I have been watching this site for a long time and just recently posted my first question.

I now want to apply for a visit visa of course, but will previous criminal convictions cause them to deny my visit visa? I have one petty misdemeanor charge from about 5 years ago, then i have a wreck less driving ticket from 2 years ago. Will they deny me for this?

I think that it would be safest to apply when your conviction is considered as spent.
