Will my dependant get her ILR when I get mine?

Hi All,

I am due to apply for my ILR in August 2012... Am on Tier 1 Visa

My query is about ILR for my dependant to be.... She is still living abraod and have no connection to uk currently....Two scenarios:

A) suppose my dependant comes to the UK say in July for example on a dependant Visa... Will she get ILR when I get mine in September?

B) suppose she comes to the UK on a SPOUSE Visa after I get my ILR in September.. when will she get ILR?

Basically I dont yet have a planned date for marriage... could be before or after my ILR.... so am just wondering immigration wise what is best to do ILR wise?

I will really appreciate your help...

Your Dependent Can only get ILR after being a dependent on your visa for two years in UK. So,

1. She won't get ILR when you get it.

2. She will be eligible for ILR 2 years after she gets the Spouse Visa.

ok thanks for that.. Is there any other way that my dependant or spouse gets ILR same time I do?

A friend said that is possible if she is my dependant living with me for atleast 3 month or something like that.... am confused

so as my dependant how long will her Visa be valid for? and what happens after that...

What is the main diffrence between dependant and spouse visa ? as far as ILR is concerned
