Will I lose ILR if based overseas due to UK partner's job?

I am a holder of Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK, but my partner's job requires us to live overseas for an extended period. Will I lose my ILR status if I am not based in the UK due to my partner's work commitments?

ILR is lost if you are absent from the UK for more than 2 years.
