Will my present employer know about my getting HSMP approval

I am very anxious to know about following and seek expert opinion :

Currently I am working on the work permit in UK (This work permit is valid for 3 more years) and I have applied for HSMP Visa. If I get HSMP visa:
1. Will my work permit get cancelled? (if yes, When - after HSMP or during FLR approval?)
2. Will my employer be informed by the Home Office about cancellation of work permit? (if yes, When - after HSMP or during FLR approval?)
3. Will the Home office seek permission of my employer before granting me HSMP Visa/FLR(IED)

Work permit will get cancelled after your passport is returned from FLR(IED). Still a lot of water to flow under the bridge
