Wish to take my Dominican girlfriend to London

Post by aaronsventnf » Fri Aug 13, 2010 1:20 pm

Dear Sirs / Madams,

My name is Aaron Sven Huesing Blanchard (18), I live in Tenerife - Canary Islands and I have British nationality as well as the German nationality.

I address you in order to resolve some important questions and wishing you could help me and answer my questions.

I want to move to London, where I will start with my university studies, but I have a partner and want her and her daughter (11) to come and live with me in London (United Kingdom)
My partner, Yahaira (29), is of Dominican nationality (Dominican Republic) and has lived in Spain for eight years, she has already applied for citizenship.

Now my questions would be:

First, is possible that my partner, Yahaira, along with her daughter, come and live with me in London?

What would need/require to make our dream come true? (Visas, permits, etc)

If I married my partner, Yahaira, could she and live with me in London (United Kingdom)?

What are the requirements for my partner, Yahaira (Dominican), to obtain a work visa for the u.k.?

I have looked and enquired the official visa + permits + government pages from the uk but i cannot find a clear answer. Please dont re-direct me back to those pages, i would really appreciate it if i received personalized attention.

Please Help me and explain to me what I exactly have to do to be with the person with whom I wish share my life in another country and city (London, United Kingdom)

I anxiously await your answer.
Thank you very much for your time and attention I appreciate it.

Regards,

The biggest issue is you would need to prove a durable relationship of 2 years and that seems to me to be impossible if you are only 18.

aaronsventnf, if your partner becomes a Spanish citizen, she should then have the right under EU law to come and live/work in the UK in her own right.

If she gets her Spanish citizenship she has freedom of movement and you can live everywhere in the EU WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS
