Withdraw LR Application and Apply new Visa

Post by sivataras » Wed Jan 27, 2021 11:36 am

hi Forum, I am into a bit of strange situation and looking for some advice,

I have current applied long term ILR - LR type , finished biometrics and waiting for a decision (refer details below), based on the current stats on this forum (Thanks for this), I believe it's likely to take least couple of months.

Date application (online/postal) : Online 05/12/2020
Document received by HO/Uploaded through UKCVAS : Uploaded various docs from 05/12/2020 - to 31/12/2020
Payment Debited: 05/12/2020
Acknowledgement letter/email received (if applicable) : n/a
Biometric Letter/email received (if applicable) : n/a
Date of UKCVAS Appointment (if applicable) - (Croydon) : 02/01/2021
Complex Letter received (if applicable) :
Approval/Refusal Received :
BRP Card Received :

I have a good opportunity to switch job and the employer would be ready to sponsor new visa , I am looking at it as an option and few clarifications requested as below,

(1) Can I withdraw LR application at this stage ?
(2) If i choose to apply a new sponsored visa - can I submit both applications in parallel or need to withdraw , so that I have only one application at any time ?
(3) if i withdraw my LR application - would i get a refund at all ? , presume not - just wanted to sense check

Appreciate any feedback on these clarifications.

Thanks, I can't see any challanges in getting through my LR, it's just the delay is making me to think to may be , as you have referenced varying with new one for different visa tier seems like an option to explore. Thanks for the reply.
