Withdrawal of application for admission

Post by jorged23 » Tue Feb 07, 2006 10:05 pm

Hi there,

I am Canadian citizen. I went to the POE in Montreal by car to enter as a B2 tourist. The said that I have too much stuff in my car and denied the entry suspecting that I wanted to get a job ilegally since I said don't have a job now.

I tried again by plane after one week, showing the return ticket, but didn't want to lie about job status. They gave me a form I-275 named "withdrawal of application for admission", showing the events in the two denied entries and I the officer asked me to sign it voluntarily under section 212 (a)(7)(A)(i)(I).

I am now in Mexico and need to stay here and get a job for some months, since I had some family issues. My question is :

- Can I show a job in Mexico, mortgage or properties to prove residence in Mexico to apply to B1/B2 again using my Canadian passport without problems ?

- Or should I try to apply again to try to re enter to USA under other type of visa (student, etc ) ? I would like to apply for TN jobs in USA soon in 5 or 6 months. Any alternatives ?

Thank you in advance for your advice !

As your post does not have anything to do with HSMP, I am moving this post to the US Immigration Forum. You might find better responses there. Thank you for your understanding
