Withdrawing my asylum application

Post by eliasuk4u » Wed Feb 01, 2006 10:32 pm

Hello again,
I have decided to withdraw my asylum application (claimed 1999) as I got married in 2002 to a British citizen and my FLR(m) application got rejected asking me to apply in my home country. I got this message through my MP but not confirmed by Home Office yet. I am still waiting for home office to return all my documents so that I can go back and apply in my home country.
The question is:
How do I officially withdraw my asylum application?
What is the procedure for returning back?
Will I have any problem with my home countries immigration officer when I return? ( I am an Sri Lankan) as my passport have no immigration stamps on it.
Will my asylum claim would have any impact on my VFA2 Application?
Approximate idea of how long will it take to process my application?

Thanks in advance.
