I am a Dutch national with settled status in the UK. My wife (well Islamically she's my wife, but not legally) is a Saudi resident with Afghan nationality. I can't travel to Saudi because they have restrictions on travellers from the UK, but we can travel to Dubai to get legally married at the Afghan Embassy which will be registered according to Afghan law and we will get a marriage certificate.
Would the UK Visa Office accept that marriage certificate for a spouse visa?
