Work dependant to student visa

Was wondering if anyone might know if this is possible, I started of my journey in this country as a dependant on an Ancestral Visa, needles to say my ex and I split up after 3.5 years, I switched to a work permit and as luck would have had it. I would have applied for ILR on the 31 of May 2006. I recently remarried and I am hoping to bring my wife to England as a work permit dependant.

Once this achieved can she change to a Student Visa and myself to a dependant on a student visa. She is really keen to Study and I am really keen to get out of the trap of being tied down to one employer. I know it sounds really complicated but i have done the maths and I should qualify for ILR after being here for 10 yrs. Let me know if I am crazy for even suggesting this (my current visa expires 27/06/07)
