Work permit for Germany from USA

I am currently in USA and I have an Indian passport. My employer in USA wants me to travel to Germany and work there for 8 months. Should I apply for "Business Visa" or "Employment Visa" for Germany? I will not get salary in Germany.

I believe you will get more response if you Send your query to the

"Immigration to other countries" (refer to forum index).
as this forum is for immigration/work permit issue in the UK.
