my name is kamran i studied in UK for 2 years and then i gave an interview for a job they gave me a job and applied for my work permit but work permit application procedure took longer than expected and my visa was about to expire then i applied for FLR but my time was bad and transaction got declined,

then my work permit got approved , but my visa was expired then i contacted a solicitor who misguided me ansd wasted my time and got disappeared in the middle

the whole thing made me overstay for six months

my work permit is still valid and now i m in my country to get it processed from here

all i need to know do i still have any chance to get work permit stamped on my passport from here after overstaying for 6 months

i have done masters from uk and my emloyer is really keen to hire me and ready to appeal as well if they refuse me

Kamran,

The sad truth is that because you are now a overstayer, no matter the reason, the HO will take a very hard line on you if you apply from within the UK.

Best advise would be to leave the UK and apply from your home country asap and just hope they don't notice you on departure.

Read the new tough rules on overstayers on the bia web site

Good luck
