Work permit holder working part time other work.

Hi All

My brother is in workpermit as an accountant but he is also helping me in my business as non accountant job for about 10 hours a week. My question is will that second job hamper his status while applying ILR?

Are you legally paying him or is it just done as a 'helping hand'.

My intention is not to make the matter sound complicated, but your brother is safe if he keeps paper works (eg. payslips, P60 etc) for payments received-in for his swift ILR application approval while on WP.
When doing a full time job on WP, I think there is some allowance for part time job while on work permit.

Yes he is, however the job has to be similar, for example if the WP was issued for accountant, supplementry work will be allowed for up to 20 hours as long as its an accountant job and does not exceed more than 20 hours a week.

Also supplementry work should not be through an employment agency
