Work Permit Vs ILR

Post by npfruto » Tue Aug 30, 2011 4:42 pm

[/b] Dear All, I hope someone could assist me.

I felt I made a biggest mistake in my life. Although, I have been in the UK for 5 years I asked for my employer to extend my application. So, my employer provided me the Certificate of Sponsorship however, I have changed my mind did not forwarded the Tier 2 general application instead I am planning to apply for an ILR.

My question will be, given that there an existing Certificate of Sponsorship applied for me by my employer is this would affect my ILR application?

Tariqul5000, yes same employer for the last 5 years and there is an existing Certificate of Sponsorship under my name at the moment, where they paid for £195. So, I am thinking whether Home Office would see this on my ILR application. (Again, the actual application form for work permit extension has not been submitted).

It should be ok. There is no place on SET(O) form in principle where HO could see this. Just make sure to ask your employer to provide you with a letter that confirms your continuous employment during these 5 years, your current salary being paid at or above the appropriate rate, and that you are still required for the employment in question.
