work permit lost job

Post by shers » Sat Jul 24, 2010 5:29 am

Hi,

I arrived in the UK on a 5 years work permit issued by a hotel as Duty Manager, and had been working with them since April 2010. Now, after 3 months, they say they do not need my position here and has given me a 2 weeks notice. I had paid a good amount to an agent through whom I got this visa. Now that the employer says that I don't have a job here, I don't know what to do. Any experts out there, please help.

Thanks

Hi and sorry to hear that.
I think you need to look for another Tier 2 sponsored job as soon as possible.

Thanks for your reply.
But it is so difficult to get a job at this scenario. Will it be possible that he gets a job within this short notice?

That depends on his qualifications, experience, demand and supply etc. etc.

No one else can tell one way or the other if and when he will be able to get a job - and a sponsorship.
