work permit, is it possible

husband is maroccain, and we are trying to find out if he can apply for a work permit now, if so how is that done and what do we need, we have been in the UK now for 2 weeks, any advice would be helpful

Why would he need one as the spouse of an EEA cit exercising a treaty right?

well does that mean that my husband can look for work without a work permit, and do we need to apply for a residence card, as his eea family permit will expire 1st october, just want to know where we stand as at the moment I myself british citizen am not working but will be soon, but have excerised my treaty rights in Italy for 8 years.

Yes, having exercised your treaty rights in Italy, you have the same rights in the UK as any other European citizen coming here, so your husband can seek work. He can and should apply for a residence card to confirm his status here, but he doesn't need to wait for it. However, without one he may have trouble persuading an employer to take him on.
