Hi,
I have recently been offered a job by a UK company, i am currently in UK on SEGS after completing my MSc in IT. The job is IT related field, the company that has offered me the job have also offered that they will be happy to fill in the paper work for work permit on my behalf. I am just not sure that they actually know what involves in getting a work permit for non-uk national. As i understand it, it involves proving to home office that no British national was able to fill that seat in when i was offered the position. My current VISA is still valid for another 6 months, and if i join now then by the time the company will apply for me, it will already be 6 months into my job. What are my options, what exactly is required by the company to get me a work permit. I just dont want to risk my position by accepting the job and then realizing in 6 months that my employer can not get me work permit because they did not know what was actually required. Please help.
