Work permit refused urgent!!

Hi,

I am from India. A large reputed company applied for my workpermit and immigration refused saying "hire someone locally".

What are my options? Please answer.

Nothing really. You have no option as the company applied workpermit so this is their application refused not yours.

If the occupation in question is not in shortage list then the following applies,

It is the company's responsibility to find people locally if anyone availabe. To do that they go through many technical matters such as advertising and proving that they have not found any one It is now down to the company to persuade work permit dept that they have done everything possible to recruit locally or from europe but not found any.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Apply under HSMP or get a job at another company, which would make an application look better in reference to the relevant criteria in order to be successful.
