Work Permit (tier 2)

Hi,

My company has applied for licence for sponsership last month under tier 2 Work Permit (General)

Could someone please help me how long will it take to get the Licence from the home office ? because my visa expires in Jan 31

About 3 - 5 months. Maybe sooner if your lucky but it can take an awfuly longtime.

Thank you for your help but the home office website mentioned that about 4 weeks is that true please help me out..

Hmmm. I recently heard of an American girl submit a Tier 2 application to state group 2 that claim to do most of thier applications in 2 -5 days. She got hers back after 20 days. The reason was that although the High Comission recived the application, they didn't open it for 2 weeks, then made a decision in 2 - 5 days and sent it back.

I'm not saying this is what's going to happen here but as a general rule of thumb, never trust the Home Office's proceswsing times and always assume that you're the 5%.... as it seems that everyone is.

Ok I understand what you mean.

In the mean time Im doing my required documents for my application form and as soon as my CoS comes i am going to book an interview (Premium apptointment) I think that can save my time.
