Work Permit Type

Hi,

I have read a few threads and am slightly confused about the different types of work permits.

How can one tell the "type" of permit one has got? For example, I got a permit 3 years ago and received a letter with the WorkPermits logo at the top and instructions saying that "...this document must be retained with the passport...etc" and the company details, duration salary etc.

There is no mention about the work permit type although the immigation act number is mentioned.

Is there a way to find out for sure whether you have a normal work permit for say 5 years or some "special" type of permit that would effect ILR application?

I think mine is a standard one but now I am getting confused with all the discussion about it?
