Working in Dublin on weekdays, UK home on weekends. Risk to my Global Talent / ILR?

My background
* On a Global Talent visa (Royal Society endorsement), valid until end of 2027.
* UK residence: 3 years on Skilled Worker, then 8 months on Global Talent (about 3 years 8 months total).
* I believe I now qualify for ILR via the 3 year Global Talent route, combining my Skilled Worker time.
* My partner is in the UK on a Global Talent dependent visa and works in London.

My situation
* After a few months of unemployment, I have been offered a role in Dublin.
* The job cannot be done remotely from the UK, so I would need to be physically in Ireland on weekdays.
* I want to keep my base in the UK and return at weekends, since my partner is in London.
* My long term goal is to settle permanently in the UK. I am not aiming for citizenship, as my home country does not allow dual nationality, so keeping ILR indefinitely is what matters to me.

What I am trying to decide

* The core of my question: if I accept this offer and work in Dublin on weekdays while returning to the UK at weekends, what risk does that create for my immigration status?
This matters for two possible situations: staying on Global Talent, or getting ILR first before I accept. I would like to understand the risk in each case, so I can work out whether it is worth pushing to submit ILR before the offer deadline.

Any experience with this exact tradeoff would help a lot. Thanks.

Your visa allows you to be outside the UK for 180 days in every 365-day period. Working overseas will not affect your Visa but to qualify for ILR, you must show that you have earned money in the UK in your expert field:

17.4 Eligibility requirements - applicant has earned money in the UK in their expert field
The applicant must have earned money in the UK during their permission to stay. The earnings must be linked to the field which led to their initial endorsement, or a field related to the subject matter of their prize, depending on how they initially qualified for the route.

My suggestion is to get your ILR first and then relocate to Dublin.

Hey thanks for the reply. I am also aware of the future ILR eligibility concerns if i start working outside of UK with only GTV.

Then the question is, what are the risks of having ILR and working in Dublin while keeping my residence in London? Anything to be aware of? I know that the 2 year timer starts once you leave, but in my case, I will be traveling back and forth on weekends, so this should not be a big deal.

There is no risk, unless you stay for more than 24 months outside the UK
