Working tax credits declined?

Post by Ems1927 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 9:25 pm

I'm a British born citizen. My husband is here going through an article 8 appeal, so his status is pending but he's obviously not allowed to work. I make £13,500 and we have one child. I do get child benefit, but my application for working tax credits which I filled out with both of our details on was refused due to my husband's status.. Could I apply for child tax credits or would this come through wtih the same response. Thanks.

Do you have a decision in writing?

Yes, this was actually months ago. I just forgot about it but now I read conflicting info on here and we could really do with the extra money.

You're out side the appeal time limit. I'd reapply quoting the relevant guidance for them.
