working visa for partner

Post by Gege » Wed Apr 12, 2006 12:52 pm

Hello,

we're married, both Canadian, and living in Australia on separate student visas. We're moving to France in June. I've got a job at uni 3 year contract, but my husband haven't found anything so far.

I suppose my visa won't be an issue, but not quite sure about his visa. Is there any spouse visa? For example, in Australia, it's possible for an international sutdent to come with his/her spouse, the 2 of them under a student visa and the one not studying has a full-time working permit. Is there anything similar in France, since I think I'll be on a long stay visa?? Otherwise, what kind of visa can he apply for??

Thanks a lot,

Ge
