Worst case scenario

Post by outstream » Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:31 pm

Hi All,

I have submitted my visa application form - all filled as expected and everything. I have received an acknowledgement letter and have also verified that application fee has been deducted from my account.

However, I have reasons to believe I did a bit of mess up in there.

So, my question is, in the worst case scenario if they refuse my application - what happens next?

1. do I get a right to appeal?

2. If yes, then whats the time period for it? Are they going to give me time of week or 2 weeks before appealing?

3. Again, if the appeal thing goes wrong aswell - what happens then? do I get a time of week or 2 weeks before leaving the country?

Thanks

Yes, I can rectify the situation.

But I`m sorry I dont understand - what do you mean by new application?

New application all together with additional application fee and everything?

no, all you need to do is...

send "change of circumstances" form...

mention what you have screwed up and how you are able to rectify the situation by giving new details/docs.

you don't want to go through appeal process.. takes forever!

cheers

ps. look at ukba site for "change of circumstances" form. it would supplement your original application

Okay, I did look at change of circumstances form - but I wasnt sure what to do with it because it doesnt explicitly lists the change I want.

So, if I have to send out bank statement and/or my university certificate - I`d do that using this change of circumstances form? even if, the acknowledgement letter states NOT to send any more documents unless requested by HO

You can send additional documents via recorded mail using the reference number on your acknowledgment letter.

Send it as soon as possible before Ukba make any decision on your application.

Good Luck

Yes - thats right, I can do it.

But I am just not sure weather I should send it even if letter from HO forbids sending any additional documents explicitly.

don't worry about that...

send them as much info as possible- especially when you think you will not get visa granted based on what you have provided so far.

cheers.
