Would love some support to make my Christmas!

Post by argy0202 » Sat Oct 11, 2014 11:28 am

Hello all, I will get straight to the point...

My Ukrainian girlfriend of nearly 3 years wants to come to England to be with me and my family for Christmas. She has traveled lots before and fingers crossed should get the visa despite the current situation there.

My question is in regards to the visa sponsorship form SU07. I can obviously fill this in and and provide necessary documents etc, but the second part of it is "Official use only". Does this mean the form needs to be sent away in the UK? OR can i simply fill in the form now, give it to her and she can present it when she is applying for her tourism visa.

I really hope someone can help out. Regards Gary and Anastasiia

SU07 isn't necessary for a visitor visa. It's used for where formal undertakings are needed - it used to be used on adult dependant relatives - for example.

If you do want to fill it in anyway - you fill it in and send it to her and she presents it when applying. Note that it should be signed as close to the application date as possible (and preferably within a month of the application).
