WP1 Application Checklist

Hi,

My new employer has made an application to get WP1 for me, the application was submitted on 14th of July, however we are still waiting for a response from home office. Does it usually take that long? The lawyers for my employers told me yesterday that this week home office are processing applications made from 1st of July to 4th of July, I am wondering how did they find it out, does home office has this information publically available somewhere ? Going on to my actual question, since I am already 2 years into a 5 years work permit,

1. Will switching employers+getting a new WP1 affect clock to ILR ?
2. If WP1 is granted by home office, what documents would I need to submit since I have to make an application once my new employer has got WP1 from HO. ?
3. Is it adviseable/quicker to make application in person at HO once step 2. is done?
