Hi there,
I was just wondering, could you immigrate to Canada if you were a freelancewriter/author? If so does anyone know how difficult/easy it would be?

check www.cic.gc.ca and you would know the answer. There is an occupation list so long as your profession is listed, you should be fine. Check this against the NOC code (info on the same website) and you would have more info.
