5 year T1(G)- date of residence permit

I'm assuming they count the 5 year from the date of the biometric permit??
However, I did notice that the points are calculated with respect to the date your application was posted.

My application was a good 2 moths before the decision was made -- just confirming whether, indeed, I have to start the 5 year period from the date of the biometric card (in country app) ? <long shot, i know >
