14 Year ILR

Post by demalone » Fri Mar 24, 2006 12:00 pm

I am about to apply for ILR under 14 year long stay concession. I have bank statements for most of the time, payslips for much of the time and a "to whom it may concern letter" from my employer stating I have been employed since April 1992. My employer is unaware of my status. My wife, who is English, as are my two children, is also unaware of my status. My questions -

1. Will the IND contact my employer, and thus likely put me out of work?
2. Will the IND want to speak with my wife, a situation I would prefer to avoid.
3. What is the turnaround time on processing the application?

Any other genral advice is much appreciated too.

Thanks

Chess, Thanks for reply.

I intend to apply next week.

Can anyone offer/comment help on following:

1.How long is turnaround time for application.

2.My evidence consists of a) letter from govt employer stating employed since April 1992 b) pension statement confirming membership since June 1992 c) large percentage of current account statements from June 1992 to date and d) payslips/P60's from 1996 to date.

3.Lost my passport that I entered country on as working holiday maker. I have only got new passport 1 week ago as had no use for them in between.

4.As well British birth certificates for wife (married 1998) and children (born 1999 and 2003).

may i ask you why did you not apply for the overstayer concession in 2000, were you ever served with any removal papers, these type of application could take up to 3 years.

I wasn't aware of any overstayer concession in 2000 or at any other time.

I have never been served with removal papers.

Is there any explanation given for time taken to make these decisions?

I'm providing all the documentation I have, and I beleieve it covers my coonections to UK, prooves my time in the UK for 14 years so would have thought this was reasonably straightforward ie decide in 6 months.

Thanks for your comment.
