5 year work permit - How to count

Got work permit on 6-Sep-2004, leave to remain start from 8-09-2004 on the passport, but due to post problem, HO sent the passport to wrong address and then got passport at late Oct 2004, so start work on 27-Oct-2004, which date is on my employer letter, does anyone know shall I count the 5 year from 8-9-2004 or 27-Oct-2004?

As if start from 8-9-2004 ( 28 days earlier), I can apply ILR right now, does anyone know? Shall I apply now?

when did you arrive in the country?

was on student visa since July 2002, and change to work permit 8-Sep-2009

but start work from 27-Oct-2004!

You can apply 28 days before 8-09-2004.

I would agree that you can take 8-09-04 as start date therefore you can apply now.
