YMS Visa for a Canadian living in India

Post by leedsboy » Tue Oct 04, 2011 8:13 pm

Hello all,

Im a student doing my MBA in the UK having a Tier 4 Student visa. Im an Indian holding an Indian passport, my wife is a Canadian holding a Canadian passport but working back in India. I was aware of the dependent visa she can apply for being my dependent on my student visa and work here, I recently came across the Youth mobility scheme where she can get a visa valid for 2 years and can work and live in the UK with the same, but I have a few questions if someone could really help me on that.

1. Will she be able to work full time on the dependent visa and youth mobility scheme visa ?

2. Will it be possible for me to be dependent on her in both visa categories after my visa expires ?

3. If my wife is able to work on one of these visas, once it is expired will she be able to extend the same ?

4. Which would be the best option to go for ?

5. What is the process and procedures to apply for the visa (all documents and funds required) ?

If you read the guidelines for both categories you can get a complete understanding of the requirements and conditions.

Tier 4 Dependants

Tier 5 YMS
